Traditional Owners
The Barada Barna People are recognised as the Traditional Owners of the land we are on today. Vitrinite recognises and respects the living cultural knowledge and connection to land and water that is passed down through generations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We pride ourselves in building strong and meaningful relationships with the Barada Barna people and in our approach to cultural heritage and in accordance with the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 (Qld) and the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). This ensures that we build the foundations for stronger collaboration on the ground.

“The thing with Vitrinite what I love most is that it’s like a small community. I’ve put more than a dozen of my people through here for employment opportunities. That makes a big difference.”
